Linda joined Henderson Partners, LLP in 2005 and she leads the Wealth Advisory practice which provides a full range of financial planning and related services including wealth plans, investment and insurance review and recommendations and comprehensive estate and retirement planning services.
Linda is a graduate of Queen's University, a Certified Financial Planner and Financial Management Advisor and has had a successful and varied career in the financial services industry for the past 20 years. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Canadian Investment Funds Course, the Conduct and Practices Handbook, the Professional Financial Planning Course, Wealth Management Techniques, the Life License Qualification Program and is currently enrolled in the Chartered Life Underwriters Program.
Linda has extensive experience designing comprehensive financial and estate plans for individuals and small businesses. She has also spent a large part of her career providing investment counseling and estate and trust advice to high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Prior to her position with Henderson Partners, LLP she was an Investment Advisor with Canada's largest brokerage firm and Linda and her team managed the investment and estate planning needs for private and corporate clients.
Linda's client's are senior executives, professionals and owner/managers of small and medium sized enterprises. Her expertise is in providing comprehensive financial planning and investment reviews and ensuring her clients and their families are optimizing estate planning opportunities and effective tax strategies. She also specializes in serving as an independent trustee on not for profit boards and advising trustees of boards and family foundations.
Linda is very active in the community. She is currently Past Chair for ATHENA Oakville, an international organization that promotes and celebrates individuals who mentor women leaders and serves on the Board of Directors for Thistle Oaks Child Care Centre as Vice President. Linda is also a regular contributor to the Globe and Mail's "Financial Facelift" series and has co-written courses for the Knowledge Bureau.
